Series 3 FATCAP is bringing in some new and some old favorites as far as artists, …Featuring 18 designs, Series 3 is scheduled to be released on January 26th 2012. It looks like the ensemble of artists have pulled out all of the stops for this one. Artists include: Devious, Flying Fortress, Jon Paul Kaiser, Julie West, KaNO, Kronk, MCA, Montana Colors, Pez, Queen Andrea, Quisp, Scribe, Shok 1, and Sket One.This blind box series will retail for $9.95 each.
Task One recently sent pics over of his newest creation: ‘Fly Me to the Moon’ which features a giant space-walking Astronaut complete with his signature LED effects. Rocking some nested toy action, the giant piece uses a 20” Mega Munny for the space suit and an 8” Dunny for the actual astronaut.
For those who don’t know Task One, he just moved by way of Sacramento and the Bay Area, where he curated some shows, and helped out at Dragatomi, after paying his dues at Strange Co.. Well welcome to Denver, and we all cant wait to see more of his great custom creations. Task really is an out of the box thinker, his customs are always so different in style, techniques, and above all original and very clean.
Also, just a heads up - were working on a few things for the new year with Task One, things like: workshops …and look for Plastic Chapel to not only host yet another epic custom/Munny show ( Summer 2012 ), but also getting some more customs in the shop too!
You might remember, we are taking january off, and for once in 6 + years, we are not having an opening this month… we ARE however, bringing down some of the personal art collection ( Mostly Prints - Gocco, Screen, Screen on Wood, collages and a few Originals and even some Photography … and putting most of them up for sale … some local names, and some other names you might recognize; DFace x Word to Mother, Buff Monster, Julie West, Scribe, Andrew Pommier, Dave Kinsey, Pushead, Fafi, Miss Van, Bird Stand ( Scott Berry), Grand Array (Hannah Stouffer), Morning Breath, Filth (Lucas Irwin), and some locals whom we just have way to many pieces of Evan Hecox, Jason Thielke, Markham Maes, Ryan Riss, and many more … Ill uplaod some pics, and be putting them in the online shop shortly …
Happy New Year enjoy this one might be our last ! Funny how all the indigineous peoples and tribes are the ones whom have the closests predictions, and also whom all where close to nature and the movements of the planets and stars ..
I think they relay thought about action reaction - responsibility and accountability - all of which are at a long time high!
